It was a very good book, I am currently reading the real one, and this book I think is just a comic book version of the same book

E loves these graphic novels so she asked me to read them too。 It was a little slow to start, but once it picks up it really moves。

Mnyeh。 The switch to this medium isn't so great for the series。 Mnyeh。 The switch to this medium isn't so great for the series。 。。。more

I’m going to be honest I don’t think this series translates to a graphic novel series very well。 They have to cut out a lot of the dialogue and charm to make it work。 And I am not a big fan of the art style, I feel a more stylized art style would have suited this series a lot better。 But I do have to admit I it still cool to see the actual character and events。 So I would say if you have already read the books it’s a good read, but if you haven’t and just want to read the graphic novels I would I’m going to be honest I don’t think this series translates to a graphic novel series very well。 They have to cut out a lot of the dialogue and charm to make it work。 And I am not a big fan of the art style, I feel a more stylized art style would have suited this series a lot better。 But I do have to admit I it still cool to see the actual character and events。 So I would say if you have already read the books it’s a good read, but if you haven’t and just want to read the graphic novels I would not recommend that, and say you at least need read the actual books first to get the most out of the graphic novels。 。。。more

So exciting to have the graphic novel form! A little odd having the visuals as they didn't all match what was in my head, but I loved sharing the Wings of Fire story with my nephew!! I read the graphic novel before the chapter book and definitely liked the story and universe。 I can see why my 11-yr old couldn't stop reading for days :-)As a graphic novel, I found it hard to follow and not very engaging。 I often couldn't tell the characters apart and had a hard time understanding a few scenes。 The problem is with the lines and the composition。 The colouring is quite good and probably saving it from a really poor quality novel。 But the composition is way off。 Several times, th I read the graphic novel before the chapter book and definitely liked the story and universe。 I can see why my 11-yr old couldn't stop reading for days :-)As a graphic novel, I found it hard to follow and not very engaging。 I often couldn't tell the characters apart and had a hard time understanding a few scenes。 The problem is with the lines and the composition。 The colouring is quite good and probably saving it from a really poor quality novel。 But the composition is way off。 Several times, the focus is on the wrong elements, some panels are derailing the attention from the main scene。 As for the lines, they are too simple; the emotions fall flat, and fail to transpire from many characters。 They are also not rendering movements very well。 Creatures as majestic as dragons deserve better! 。。。more

TUI T SUTHERLAND THE GREATEST AUTHOR OF ALL TIME。 THIS BOOK NEVER MISSES AND ONLY GETS BETTER EVERY TIME I READ IT AND THE ILLUSTRATIONS ADDED A WHOLE NEW LAYER。 STUNNING AND A MASTERPIECE。 WOULD GIVE IT MORE THAN 5 STARS IF I COULD。

Only read because Max asked me to read it。 He loves the series, I do not。 The graphic novel format might have been a big part of my dislike for the book。

A friend of mine claimed the WoF series was the best ever and wouldn't stop talking about it。 Another friend told me it was super good, so I promised them I'd get the graphic novel and try it out。 I got this from the library and read it the other day。 It was enjoyable, but not something I'd ever want to read again。 Several freaky pictures of dead dragons, lots of gruesome deaths, and horrible things going on。 I liked the dragonets of destiny, especially Sunny and Clay, and I thought it was a pre A friend of mine claimed the WoF series was the best ever and wouldn't stop talking about it。 Another friend told me it was super good, so I promised them I'd get the graphic novel and try it out。 I got this from the library and read it the other day。 It was enjoyable, but not something I'd ever want to read again。 Several freaky pictures of dead dragons, lots of gruesome deaths, and horrible things going on。 I liked the dragonets of destiny, especially Sunny and Clay, and I thought it was a pretty good story, but I just didn't enjoy it so much。 Not my thing, I guess? I think I am getting weak but the broken neck and the stabbing through the heart before throwing off the cliff 。。。 in graphic format 。。。。 I feel horrified 。。。。 but then am hooked on the Sythe series which is totally crazy!!! Maybe it’s the format?!? I am reading the whole series even in the name of ‘doing it for the kids’ 。。。。 I may also be interested in how the whole prophecy works out too lol 😂

It was like the first one but I liked it a lot better because I could visualize the dragons a lot better because of the pictures。 I liked the pictures in color in this book。 The story was the same as the first book but it was cool to see the pictures。 The dragons were different than I visualized them when I read the regular book first。

A few of my fourth graders requested to read this book for read aloud and I'm so glad I took their word for it。 Not only did my 4th grade kiddos LOVE this book, but I also throughly enjoyed it as well (so much that I'm tempted to read the rest of the series--even if we don't have time in our read aloud block)。 There is a lot of talk of killing/murdering and the visuals can't get quite graphic, but what do you expect in a book about dragons (it also wasn't anything my students couldn't handle)。 T A few of my fourth graders requested to read this book for read aloud and I'm so glad I took their word for it。 Not only did my 4th grade kiddos LOVE this book, but I also throughly enjoyed it as well (so much that I'm tempted to read the rest of the series--even if we don't have time in our read aloud block)。 There is a lot of talk of killing/murdering and the visuals can't get quite graphic, but what do you expect in a book about dragons (it also wasn't anything my students couldn't handle)。 The epilogue left us on the edge of our seat and I'm hoping that we have time in the school year to read some other books in the series。 。。。more

I picked this book up because this series - both the novels and the graphic novels - is incredibly popular with the kiddos at the library。 It was slow to start and a bit confusing to get into, but ultimately enjoyable enough that I’ll read more in the series。 My biggest complaint about this one is that sometimes it was difficult to tell the dragons apart, especially if they were the same type of dragon。 My guess is that kids who are reading this as a supplement to the novels won’t have that same I picked this book up because this series - both the novels and the graphic novels - is incredibly popular with the kiddos at the library。 It was slow to start and a bit confusing to get into, but ultimately enjoyable enough that I’ll read more in the series。 My biggest complaint about this one is that sometimes it was difficult to tell the dragons apart, especially if they were the same type of dragon。 My guess is that kids who are reading this as a supplement to the novels won’t have that same issue。 。。。more
